Alison Brie

Alison Brie is an American actress born and raised in Hollywood. She is most famous for her role as Annie Edison in Community (2009-2015). Other of her notable parts in TV series include Trudy Campbell in Mad Men (2007-2015) and the voice of Diane Nguyen in BoJack Horseman (2014-). She’s also taken part in a number of movies, most recently in Get a Job (2016). Currently she has three movies to be released and is expected to reprise her role in the next season of BoJack Horseman.

Alison is Jewish by her mother’s side. During her upbringing, she and her father occasionally visited a “Christian-Hindu hybrid church”, called the Self-Realization Fellowship. Regardless, her mother would always emphasize their Jewish side. “My mom… is a proud Jew, so I in turn am proud of my Jewish heritage.” Although she identifies as Jewish, the actress doesn’t seem particularly religious.

Alison Brie Hobbies

She enjoys singing and shooting guns. She has her own cover band that she started with some of her friends. When it comes to gun, she can often be seen at the LA Gun Club. She picked up this hobby from her previous boyfriend from Texas.

Alison Brie Political Views

Alison is openly liberal. She went to the California Institute of Arts where clothing was optional. With that in mind, the actress would sometimes jog naked around campus or even climb trees naked. She’s also favorable to gay marriage and environmentalism. Alison is also a big Obama supporter and has re-tweeted Hillary Clinton when criticizing Trump.

Who is she dating?

Brie has dated James Franco’s younger brother Dave Franco since 2012 and they’ve been engaged since late 2015.

Random Facts

Just like in the show Community, Alison’s mother was a teacher at a community college. Additionally, her mother worked as the Director of Early Childhood Services for Para Los Ninos, a nonprofit in LA.
