Ashley Tisdale is an American actress and singer. She started working at a young age, appearing in over 100 TV ads and a number of parts in theater and TV shows. Her acting career started getting attention with Disney roles, first in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody (2005-2008) and soon after in the High School Musical series. As a singer she released two albums shortly after starring in the first High School Musical, but hasn’t released any new work since 2009. She’s also had some voice roles in animated productions, such as Phineas and Ferb (2007-2015) and will star in 2017’s Charming.
With a Christian father and a Jewish mother, the actress was raised with a bit from both religions. It seems like she doesn’t identify necessarily as one or the other but has taken some of both religion’s teaching to her life. So based on that we would have to say she isn’t very religious.
Ashley’s main interests seem to be shopping and, not surprisingly, singing and dancing. Other hobbies include hanging out with her friends and/or her dogs.
The actress isn’t outspoken about her political views and has made no comments about endorsing any politicians. She seems to support the LGTB community and had no problem kissing Emily Osment in her show Young & Hungry. Whether she’s a liberal in other areas is still anyone’s guess.
Tisdale started dating Annie Automatic’s lead singer Christopher French in December 2012 and later got married. They got married on September 8, 2014 in Santa Barbara, California. The couple is currently together and haven’t had kids yet, but they have started talking about pregnancy plans.
Ashley has also worked as a producer and her interest in more actively participating in her work beyond acting can be seen in High School Musical, where she helped create the Sharpay character. “I wanted it to be over-the-top, flashy, attention-getting, because that’s her. But she has a heart. You never know what someone is about. People look at me and think I’m a young teen. I’m 21!”
