He started acting when he was 18 with guest appearances on the popular TV series Byker Grove (1989). After several small successes he gained fame in 2002 when he supported Katie Holmes in the suspense thriller Abandon (2002). He is best known as a rowdy hooligan in the Green Street Hooligan movie series and even more as a bad ass biker in the outlaw motorcycle drama Sons of Anarchy.
