If you follow Evans’ Twitter account you will quickly see that he strongly disagrees with President Trump and his policies. There are dozens and dozens of examples of this over the years:
This moron, puppet, coward sided with Putin over our own intelligence agencies! On a world stage!! BASED ON NOTHING MORE THAN PUTIN’S WORD! Why?? Can ANYONE answer that?? What the hell is happening. Politics aside, this is 100% un-American. Where are you @GOP????

“Look, I’m in a business where you’ve got to sell tickets,” Chris has said about his political comments. “But, my God, I would not be able to look at myself in the mirror if I felt strongly about something and didn’t speak up. I think it’s about how you speak up. We’re allowed to disagree. If I state my case and people don’t want to go see my movies as a result, I’m okay with that.” (1)
Evans is agnostic but leans towards a pantheistic view of the universe, or that all things compose the idea of god.
“Well, I guess I believe in science,” Chris said in a 2005 interview. “I believe in evolution. I don’t necessarily believe in god, at least not the man with the beard and robes and things like that. God can be whatever you want it to be, they actually said this in class last week, it’s the universe, the thing that connects all of us, this innate energy that’s in the air, animals, trees, that’s God; it’s this constant living thing and in essence the sun is the creator of that, the sun is kind of the maker of all of that.” (2)
Evans did have a religious education while he was young. “I grew up in the Catholic Church but you know the church was just a place to have religious discussions. It wasn’t forced upon me and we didn’t go to church every week.” (2)
Evans has also expressed interest in learning about Buddhism. (3)
Chris has three siblings, two sisters named Carly and Shanna, and a younger brother named Scott who is also an actor.
Evans’ family background is Italian. His mother and father are divorced.
He has had romantic relationships with two actresses. In the mid-2000s Evans dated Fantastic Four co-star Jessica Alba. In 2017-18 he was seeing Parks & Rec actress Jenny Slate.
Evans suffers from anxiety. He has had panic attacks when doing interviews with the press, walking on the red carpet to events, and even doing auditions for roles.
“I get very nervous,” the actor explained. “I shit the bed if I have to present something on stage or if I’m doing press. Because it’s just you…Do you know how badly I audition? Fifty percent of the time I have to walk out of the room. I’m naturally very pale, so I turn red and sweat. And I have to literally walk out. Sometimes mid-audition.” (3)
He is a deep fan of his hometown of Boston. Chris grows a beard during football playoff season.
When they filmed the post-credits scene for the first Avengers movie and the team was eating shawarma, Evans had a beard at the time. It had to be covered up by a prosthetic, and then Chris needed to sit with head resting on his fist to cover up the goofy appearance of the face prosthetic. (4)
