Chris Hemsworth is an Australian actor best known for his roles as Thor in the Thor series and The Avengers. Back home he gained popularity from a local series Home and Away as Kim Hyde (2004). He started his actimg career in 2002 as King Arthur for only 2 episodes in a television series called Guinevere Jones. He tried reality TV and decided to join Dancing with the Stars but got eliminated after 6 weeks. Later his big break came from being cast as Thor.
Chris is not religious. In a past interview he had mentioned his love for Buddhist books and said he learned a thing of two, but that’s been about the extent of his religion.
Some of his hobbies include surfing and cooking. He says he loves to spend time being in the kitchen and creating new dishes.
When it comes to politics, he seems to be pretty quiet about his beliefs. However, he appears to be pretty liberal on social issues. A lot of this comes from the comments he made when he was a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. He talked about wanting to see more strong and independent female leads in movies. As well as replying to his daughter who wanted to “have a penis”saying that, “You know what, you can be whatever you want to be”. These comments tend to support someone who believes in gender equality as well as supporting the LGBT community.
Chris Hemsworth was married back in 2010 to his Spanish Wife Elsa Pataky. Together they have three children. Their first daughter was born in May, 2012 and then a few years later had a set of twins in Mach 2014.
When he landed the role of Thor, it was the first time that Chris realized he is naturally bigger than people. Although he gained 20 pounds for the role, his stunt man had to eat up to 5,000 calories a day just to maintain the physique. Looks like Chris didn’t even realize how much of a hunk he really is.
