Chris Pratt is an American actor. His breakout role came in 2009 as Andy Dwyer in NBC’s Parks and Recreation comedy series in which he starred in for seven seasons. Pratt transitioned to leading man roles in A-list movies like Guardians of the Galaxy, The Lego Movie and Jurassic World.
Born on June 21, 1979, Chris Pratt came from a humble working-class family background. In his early twenties Pratt dropped out of community college, moved to Hawaii and lived homeless, sometimes in a tent, sometimes by crashing in a van.
Chris was raised Lutheran and is openly Christian. When his son Jack was born nine weeks premature in 2012, Pratt said that he “prayed a lot” for a miracle to happen.
“It restored my faith in God, not that it needed to be restored, but it really defined it,” Chris was quoted as saying.
While filming Jurassic World in 2014, Pratt took some heat for being too open about his faith on the set. He was even told to “Keep Jesus off the Set” when shooting the picture. (2)
In June 2018, while accepting an MTV Movies Generation Award, Pratt addressed the crowd with nine rules to live by. Several of these rules touched upon his Christian faith, including his sixth rule: “God is real. God loves you. God wants the best for you. Believe that. I do.”
As an outdoors man, Pratt loves hunting and fishing. He also enjoys spending time with his son and working on cars when he gets a chance.
Chris is a proud conservative and hasn’t had a problem showing it. He loves the second amendment and believes that religion plays an important role in peoples’ lives. Chris’ views are different than most Hollywood actors and actresses who tend to be more liberal in their politics.
Pratt has made statements that he is moderate with his right-wing support. For example, when asked about his opinion of the current state of politics in 2017, Chris remarked, “I really feel there’s common ground out there that’s missed because we focus on the things that separate us. You’re either the red state or the blue state, the left or the right. Not everything is politics. And maybe that’s something I’d want to help bridge, because I don’t feel represented by either side.” (1)
Chris Pratt was married to actress Anna Faris, for eight years, from 2009 to 2017. The couple seemed to have gone separate ways amicably.
“Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another,” Pratt and Faris said in a joint statement.
Currently there is no news about Chris having someone new in his romantic life.
As he was born in June 21 this makes Chris’ sign a Cancer. It appears that he fits in well with typical Cancers known for their creativity, spontaneity, and loyalty.
Chris was a champion wrestler in High School, making it to the State Championships and placing fifth.
He was discovered by actress Rae Dawn Chong while working as a waiter for Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Chong cast Chris in a small role for the horror movie Cursed Part 3, released in 2000.
Chris was quite popular in high school which was most likely due to his charisma. At one point Chris was selling coupons, which he probably excelled at due to his friendly and outgoing personality.
