A few years back she wrote a play called Convert which explores seven African characters set in 1895, during the rise of Christianity. She had this to say about her play, “The top leaders of the Anglican churches and the Catholic churches come out of the continent. So it’s this sort of thing where people start to make very brash statements about how Christianity came to Africa, and how Africans aren’t being themselves if they’re Christian. ”
Danai is a Democrat. She posted this to Twitter, “Your vote matters. We need a leader that will stand with women. Not against them. #OurVoteCounts #ImWithHer”. She appears to also support Hillary Clinton and her run for President.
She like swimming and keeping fit. She also is a big fan of watching tennis, which is her favorite sport.
Danai appears to currently be single. It’s uncertain if she’s just private with her love life or is just busy acting and not seeing anyone.
Danai ironically does not like horror. She also does not drink coffee and has a very loud voice that has earned her the nickname, ‘Megaphone’. Lamb and goat are her favorite foods.
