Demaryius Thomas is an NFL wide receiver for the Denver Broncos. He was born on December 25th, 1987 in Montrose, Georgia. The Broncos drafted Thomas out of Georgia Tech in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He was a three-sport athlete at West Laurens High School in Georgia. He stood out in track and baseball aside from football. His career at Georgia Tech was stellar as he recorded 120 catches for 2,339 yards and 14 touchdowns. Keep in mind that this was on a team with a run-oriented offense.
Thomas is a faithful Christian. While his mother and grandmother went to prison when he was nine years old, his uncle took him in. His name was James Brown and he raised Demaryius with discipline and Christianity. Brown was a minister and made Thomas an usher at his church. He credits Brown for being influential in his life and molded him into the man he is today.
The Bronco loved Barack Obama because he commuted his mother and his grandmother’s federal prison sentences. Politics is something he doesn’t talk about openly. It is unclear what side he is on but Obama will always have a spot in his heart.
Thomas likes working with kids and even has an annual youth camp teaching kids the fundamentals of football. He enjoys inspiring others as well as spreading positive vibes.
Demaryius Thomas is dating a beauty named Surina. He sent her a box of chocolates along with a teddy bear that reads ‘Be Mine.’ Surina named the teddy bear ‘BayBay.’ There isn’t much information on the couple and the alleged relationship is still foggy.
His mother and grandmother were arrested for cocaine trafficking served lengthy prison sentences. His mother was pardoned from Obama last year after serving 15 years. This year Obama freed his grandmother which couldn’t have made Thomas any happier. He tweeted a ‘thank you’ to Obama and also passed him a personal note at Super Bowl 50.
