Farrah Abraham is a reality television star, singer and author. She made her TV debut by chronicling her journey as a teenage mother on the reality show 16 and Pregnant. Farrah then went on to appear in Teen Mom for four seasons, concluding in 2012. Since then Abraham has been in the cast of other reality shows such as Celebrity Big Brother, Couples Therapy and MTV’s Single AF. In 2014 she cashed in on her celebrity by appearing in two adult films.
Farrah was born on May 31, 1991 in Omaha, Nebraska. Her zodiac sign is Gemini.
We first learned that Farrah had some sort of religious belief when in 2013 news of the pornographic adult movie leaked to the press. Farrah’s mother Debra was deeply upset when she heard that her daughter was in a porn movie, saying, “She was not brought up that way. We have religious beliefs.” (1)
One year later Farrah gave an interview in which she revealed that she is Christian.
“I have to say faith is a big part of my life,” Abraham said. “I’m not perfect, I think that’s just life. There’s really no perfect Christian. I go to church as often as possible and I have great Christian friends – and those aren’t the ones who say they’re Christian and then act like other.” (2)
Sometime around 2015 Farrah was making plans to write a parenting book which was inspired by her Christian beliefs. “If I could say that through a type of Christian parenting book, I think that’s something that wouldn’t hurt them, it would help them and their children,” she said at the time. (3)
The parenting book failed to materialize.
Farrah gave birth to her daughter Sophia in February 2009. The father of her child, Derek Underwood, passed away before the birth due to a car accident.
Farrah’s parents, Michael Abraham and mother Debra Danielsen, are divorced. Farrah had a rocky relationship with her mom while pregnant and on television. These dicey encounters were filmed and broadcast on the two MTV series.
In 2017 Viacom, the parent company that owns MTV, settled out of court with Farrah. She had sued the broadcaster for being fired from Teen Mom because she had appeared in her adult films. The amount that Farrah settled with Viacom was not disclosed, but she had been suing the company for $5 million dollars. (4)
