Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid is an American model born in April 23, 1995. She’s been featured in reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, in which her mother has starred since 2012. Born and raised in Los Angeles, after graduating high school, she moved to New York City. She moved so that she could continue her studying and modeling career. She started studying in private university The New School in 2013. Her career as a model started as soon as she was 2 years old and was spotted by an agent from clothing retailer Guess. Eventually she stopped modeling to focus on school before returning to the profession in 2011, under the same brand. Since then she’s shot three campaigns for Guess. She’s been in a number of fashion events, advertising campaigns for movies and products such as the BMW M2, as well as a number of music videos.

Gigi’s father is a Muslim, but her mother isn’t. The model has purposely avoided answering direct questions about her religion possibly to avoid backlash both within and outside the Muslim community. She has though showed support for the Muslim faith as she recognizes it as part of her heritage. Some sites have her listed as being a part of the Islam faith, but we didn’t see any evidence to support that.

The model temporarily stopped modeling to pursue her aspirations as an athlete for horseback riding and volleyball. Currently she’s most interested in boxing (although not to the point of leaving her career again).

Gigi Hadid Political Views

Hadid’s showed support for the conflicts in Palestine as her father’s family been expelled to the Syrian refugee camps following the 1984 war before eventually managing to move to the USA.

Who is she dating?

The model has a clear interest in singers, having dated Cody Simpson from 2013 to 2015, Joe Jonas briefly in 2015, and currently dating Zayn Malik. Malik and Hadid were featured as a couple in a fashion spread in May 2015 for US Vogue.

She’s close friends with Kendall Jenner, but their relationship goes a bit deeper than that. Gigi Hadid’s mother is currently married to David Foster, who was previously married to Linda Thompson.
