Henry Cavill

Henry Cavill is a British actor best known for his role as Superman in the superhero movies Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. Cavill began his acting career in 2002 with The Count of Monte Cristo, an adventure drama adapted from the book. He also acted in several TV series in minor and supporting roles before making his lead role debut with Immortals in 2011. In 2018 Cavill played alongside Tom Cruise in the sixth Mission: Impossible movie. An avid video gamer, Henry also plays the lead role in Netflix’s The Witcher series based on the fantasy book series.

Born on May 5, 1983, in Saint Helier, Jersey, his zodiac sign is Taurus. Henry has two middle names, William Dalgliesh.

Henry was named “World’s Sexiest Man” by British Glamour Magazine and was listed third on “The 100 Sexiest Movie Stars of 2013” by Empire Magazine.

Ironically, as a child the actor was so over-sized that his friends called him Fat Cavill, which is still one of his nicknames among his peers.

Henry lost out to Daniel Craig for the part of James Bond in Casino Royale. Reportedly it was down to Cavill and Craig, and the film’s producers wanted an older actor playing their new Bond. Henry has said that he’s still interested in playing 007, perhaps when Craig’s turn is done.
