Jason Bateman is an American actor, producer, and director. His success as an actor started with roles in the sitcoms Silver Spoons and The Hogan Family. His largest role came as the leading actor in Arrested Development. Jason won a Golden Globe, TV Land Award, and Satellite Award for that role. Since Arrested Development, he has appeared in many big movies such as, Hancock, Horrible Bosses (1&2), The Gift, and Juno. In 2016 he will star in the movie, Office Christmas Party.
Jason is a Christian and has chosen in the last decade to work on primarily Christian-based productions. He married a Lebanese Christian and comes from a family that practiced the religion. His sister is also a public born-again Christian.
He enjoys biking and running, and tries to run at least 5 miles a day. Bateman also was quoted saying, “My hobbies have varied over the years. There were a whole set of new ones before I got married. Now I spend as much time with my wife, who is my best friend.”
It is uncertain what Bateman’s political affiliation is. He has donated to the Democratic Party in the past so he is probably still on the left wing.
Jason is married to actress Amanda Anka. They got married in 2001 and had a child together five years later.
His acting career started when he was 10 years old. It started by him following a friend to audition for a role in an educational film. The director ended up picking Jason for the lead role. Jennifer Aniston is a good friend of his. Together, they have been in over 4 movies together.
