Jason Momoa

Jason Momoa is an American actor who was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 1, 1979. His best known roles include playing the sci-fi warrior Ronon Dex in Stargate Atlantis, a fantasy world barbarian warlord named Khal Drogo in the HBO series Game of Thrones, and as the DC Comics superhero Aquaman in Justice League (2017) and Aquaman (2018).

Born Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa, Jason was raised by his mother in Norwalk, Iowa. After completing high school, Momoa began to study for a wildlife biology degree. He moved back to his home in Hawaii in order to reconnect with his father.

Random Facts

During his audition for Game of Thrones, Momoa performed haka, a traditional Maori dance. He wore dreads but shaved it off because his neck and head started to hurt after six years of wearing it.
