    Julianne Moore is an American actress and author. In 2014 she won the Academy Award for Best Actress. Her acting career got started after studying theater at Boston University. She started acting on TV from 1985 to 1988 with a role on As the World Turns. This lead to more successful movies like Boogie Nights (1997), Hannibal (2001), Crazy Stupid Love (2011), and the Hunger Games series. Besides acting, she has also wrote a series of children’s books called Freckleface Strawberry.

    Born on December 3, 1960 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, her zodiac sign is Sagittarius. Her birth names are Julie Anne but she decided to combine them together for her screen name of Julianne.

    Julianne is an atheist, someone that does not believe in God.

    She said that her atheism became a solid belief when her mother passed away in 2010.

    “I learned when my mother died five years ago that there is no ‘there’ there,” she said in an interview. “Structure, it’s all imposed. We impose order and narrative on everything in order to understand it. Otherwise, there’s nothing but chaos.” (1)

    While being interviewed by James Lipton for his Inside the Actors Studio program, the host asked what Julianne might say if she died, went to Heaven and came face-to-face with God. “Well, I guess you were wrong, I do exist,” was what the actress assumed God would say to her. (2)
