Kevin Hart was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised by a single mother due to the fact that his father was addicted to cocaine and often in trouble with the law, rarely present. Hart says he used humor and jokes as a coping mechanism for the pain of his childhood. He had a rough start as a comedian and eventually met Keith Robinson, who mentored him and helped him find comedy material within his real life experiences. He blew up and has become the top comedian in the nation. He uses a lot of material about his family, which is Christian, and he is believed to follow the same religion. But me, as a heterosexual male, if I can prevent my son from being gay, I will.” He also said his insecurities played a part in his opinion so it’s hard to tell where Hart stands on gay rights.
