Last updated: October 19, 2016Kit Harington in an English actor best known for his role as Jon Snow on Game of Thrones. His father was a businessman and his mother Deborah Jane was a playwright. He was named after Christopher Marlowe but his mother later shortened his name from Christopher to Kit because he liked that name more. He went to school at Southfield Primary School from 1992 to 1998. His family moved to Worcestershire when he was eleven years old and enrolled him at Chantry High School. He later got interested in drama at the age of 17 and has been acting ever since.

Kit is a big fan of drama and is a frequent visitor to live theater plays. When he was 17 he got interested in drama after watching Ben Whishaw’s production of Hamlet. A year later he returned to London to pursue his interest and attended the Central School of Speech and Drama.

Harington confirmed in an interview on NBC’s the Tonight Show that he has a hard time keeping things as secrets. He even admitted that he told Leslie and other people who were close to him about the Snow’s fate, even though he wasn’t suppose to tell anyone.
