Liam Neeson – Racist?

In February 2019 Neeson spoke with a news reporter about an incident from his past where he felt racist and violent feelings. After someone close to the actor was raped by a black man, Neeson told the press that he felt anger towards blacks and sought out a physical confrontation with anyone that fit the profile of his friend’s attacker.

“I had never felt this feeling before, which was a primal urge to lash out,” Liam explained.

“After that there were some nights I went out deliberately into black areas in the city, looking to be set upon so that I could unleash physical violence.

“I did it four, maybe four or five times, until I caught myself and it really shocked me, this primal urge. It was shocking.

“It shocked me and it hurt me . . . I did seek help, I went to a priest.” (1)

Neeson’s confession drew ire and condemnation from some on social media, and support from others for speaking publicly of a shameful personal moment from his past.

Liam Neeson Hobbies

Neeson has stated that his favorite hobby is fly-fishing, and has even participated in the program, ‘Fly Fishing the World’ about five times. For the last one, he spent ten days fishing in New Zealand with his best friend.

Neeson married actress Natasha Richardson on July 3rd 1994, after having met at a Broadway play in 1993. Unfortunately, Richardson passed away after a skiing accident in 2009.
