    Mark Zuckerberg – His Religion

Zuckerberg was raised by Jewish parents and studied Hebrew while growing up. At age 13 he had his bar mitzvah, which was Star Wars themed. (1)

During the 2000s Zuckerberg claimed that he was an athiest. This was widely picked up by people that followed technology leaders.

At some point between the mid 2000s and December 2016, Zuckerberg then became a believer in religion. On Christmas Day 2016, Zuckerberg wished his followers on Facebook a Merry Christmas and Happy Hannukkah. When one of his followers asked if he still did not believe in God, Zuckerberg replied, “No. I was raised Jewish and then I went through a period where I questioned things, but now I believe religion is very important.” (2)

However, Mark did not answer further questions in the thread about what sort of religious belief he now has.

Zuckerberg’s wife Pricilla Chan is a Buddist. Mark has expressed interest in learning more about Buddism, even offering a prayer to a Buddist shrine when he vsited China in 2015. (3)

    Mark Zuckerberg – His Politics

As the CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg has the privledge of meeting with the leaders of many countries. He’s met with President Barack Obama and many high level officials in the United States government. Zuckerberg has also spoken at length with the presidents and prime ministers of several countries including Russia, Argentina, England, France, Portugal and many others.

Zuckerberg has not stated whether he has voted for the Democrats of Republicans and keeps his personal voting record to himself. However, based on his personal fundraising efforts Zuckerberg seems to favor Republican candidates. (4) This tendency to support the personal campaigns of right-leaning politicians indicates that Zuckerberg may be a moderate Republican.

There has been speculation that Mark Zuckerberg has been considering a run for the highest office in America, that of President of the United States. Fans of this theory point to Zuckerberg meeting with more world leaders, such as Pope Francis, and wanting to travel to each of the 50 American states to meet with people about civic political issues.
