In 2008 he was selected third overall in the first round by Atlanta. As a rookie he started all 16 games and took the Falcons to the playoffs with a 11-5 record. He also led the Falcons to a Conference Championship and was named the ACC Player of the Year. He received the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. He will be playing in the Superbowl in 2017 against the New England Patriots.
