Matt Ryan is an NFL quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons. He played college football for Boston College. In 2008 he was selected third overall in the first round by Atlanta. As a rookie he started all 16 games and took the Falcons to the playoffs with a 11-5 record. He also led the Falcons to a Conference Championship and was named the ACC Player of the Year. He received the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. He will be playing in the Superbowl in 2017 against the New England Patriots.
Matt enjoys traveling to exotic places and playing golf. When it’s not the football season he likes to travel with his wife. He loves playing golf and has played in many tournaments.
Matt is Catholic. He was raised as a Roman Catholic by both of his parents. He is still practicing the faith today and attends church when he can.
Although fairly conservative, Matt is a registered Democrat. He doesn’t talk much about politics, but has mentioned that he supported Barack Obama during both elections.
Matt is married to Sarah Ryan. They got married in 2011. She was a high school basketball star who set a bunch of records. She currently works for the Atlanta Dream a WNBA team.
Matt Ryan’s jersey has been retired at Boston College. When he was in college he was not only a great football player but was very smart in the classroom. He received the 2004 Freshman Male scholar-Athlete award as a Freshman. When he was a senior in college, he started the website, MattyIce.com, where he would showcase his football talents.
