Michelle Williams

Michelle Williams (not to be confused with the Destiny’s Child singer) is an American actress. She was born and raised in the small town of Kalispell, Montana to a homemaker and a commodity trader/author. She became interested in acting at a young age after seeing a local stage production of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Her career began in the 90s; at 15 she became emancipated from her parents so that she could pursue her career without the restriction of child labor laws. She is well known for her role on Dawson’s Creek from 1998 to 2003.

Michelle was raised a Christian. She obtained acting lessons at the Christian Youth Theater of San Diego and she had attended a private Christian school in San Diego. It’s not certain if she still holds these views.

Ms. Williams is an avid reader. She enjoys all sorts of books and genres and uses reading as a way to relax.

Michelle Williams Political Views

Not much is known about Michelle’s political views. It is worth noting, however that the Christian school she attended firmly did not support her role in the movie Brokeback Mountain – this did not stop her from continuing with the role. One may speculate that she supports gay rights after going against her church’s wishes.

Who is she dating?

It is unclear who Michelle is currently dating. In 2016 there were rumors of her dating her Manchester by the Sea costar Casey Affleck after the pair were seen holding hands on the red carpet of their film’s premier. In 2015 she dated author Jonathan Safran Foer. Ms. Williams has been open about the difficulties of dating as a single mother; her daughter’s father Heath Ledger tragically passed in 2008.

Michelle is of German, Norwegian, British Isles and Scandinavian descent. She’s a big fan of Katharine Hepburn. She accepted the role of Glinda in Oz the Great and Powerful so that her young daughter Matilda could watch her in a movie.
