Mike Colter

Mike Colter is an American actor. He was born on 26th August 1976 in Columbia, South Carolina. Mike knew that he wanted to be an actor when he was 8  after he saw the film A Soldier’s Story. He started drama club in high school and became the president of the club. He later went to Benedict College where his drama professor Scott Banks mentored him. Mike later transferred to the University Of South Carolina where he obtained a degree in theater. He continued to study at Rutgers University where he attained an MFA degree. Getting into the acting scene was not easy, after months of struggle, he got his first role where he co-starred alongside Charlie Sheen.

He is best known for roles in the television series; The Good Wife, Ringer, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones. Million Dollar Baby was one of his more famous roles. As of 2016, he is currently starring as the main character of Marvel’s Luke Cage.
