Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus (Destiny Hope Cyrus) is an American singer and actor. She was born in Tennessee and started acting as a child. Her career took off when she she was a teenager with her role as Hannah Montana (Disney Channel series). She is the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, who is a singer and songwriter. Miley now is known for her music career with songs like, “Wrecking ball” and “Party in the U.S.A.”.

Miley was raised as a Christian. In 2005 she was baptized in a Southern Baptist church. Many have questioned her religious beliefs because of her looks and behavior, but she recently has defended them. She was quoted saying, “Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind”.  Although she is still religious, she does think that people that take it too seriously or literally are crazy.
