Paul Rudd

Paul Rudd is an American actor best-known for his roles in multiple comedy films including Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man franchise. He’s starred in popular American films like Clueless (1995), Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), and This Is 40 (2012). He was also seen as Phoebe Buffay’s boyfriend in the final season of Friends.

While acting is his main profession, Rudd also has worked as a screenwriter on movies and as a producer.

Born on April 6, 1969 in Passaic, New Jersey, his zodiac sign is Aries. His middle name is Stephen.

Rudd was raised in a Jewish household but it doesn’t sound like his folks were much on practicing their faith. “I’m not particularly religious, but I was born Jewish and I always felt like the outsider because I wasn’t Christian or Catholic,” he said in a 2015 interview. “So I learned early on that I could be accepted if I made people laugh when I turned the joke on myself and, particularly in Kansas, if I made a joke about being Jewish, my friends would laugh really hard, harder than they perhaps should have.” (1)

Rudd leans left in his politics. He’s spoken out about not liking certain right-wing ideologies but he’s hardly outspoken. It sounds like Rudd is the kind of person to say what his heart feels but he won’t strong arm you to accept that his way is the right way of seeing the world.

When asked about how much politics is in the Rudd household, the actor explained, “We keep them [Rudd’s children] engaged with the world and let them come up with their own opinions about things… I keep telling them that this is an anomaly, and this is not normal. Paul married Julie Yaeger in 2003 after meeting her while she was working in his publicist’s office. They have two children together, a boy named Jack (born 2004) and a daughter named Darby (born in 2009).

• Rudd and actor friend Jeffrey Dean Morgan co-own a candy store in Rhinebeck, New York. The store was formerly owned by a friend of both actors who passed away suddenly in 2014. (4)
