Richard Sherman is an NFL cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks. Before the NFL, Sherman played college football at Stanford University. He played both positions of a wide receiver and cornerback. He was selected in the 2011 NFL draft by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round. Currently he has the second most interceptions among active players in the NFL and is considered one of the top cornerbacks in the league. In 2014 the Seahawks won the Superbowl, giving him his first NFL championship.
Richard is a Christian. He believes in God and always gives thanks to Jesus after winning games. He is often tweeting things such as, “All glory to God!!! Thank you Jesus for blessing us”. He grew up attending church and tries to make appearances when he can.
Richard leans liberal on political issues and would most likely be a Democrat. He has been very vocal about his stance on racism and the Black Lives Matter movement. At one point he stirred up controversy by saying “All Lives Matter”. More recently in September of 2016, outraged at the police shootings of black individuals, spoke up about it. He addressed the issue and then walked out of his press conference to protest recent events.
He enjoys giving back to low-income communities and started his own charity in 2013. He is passionate about football as well as helping to make the world a better place.
He is currently dating Ashley Moss. In February of 2015, just days after the Superbowl, Ashley gave birth to their first son, Rayden. They later got in engaged in June of 2015.
Richard Sherman is incredibly smart on and off the field. He graduated high school with a 4.1 GPA, which was second in his class. He received a scholarship to Standford which was the first time in 20 years someone from Dominguez High School had received one to attend Standford.
