    Russell Wilson was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 29th, 1988 to a former NFL prospect that ended up becoming a lawyer and a nurse consultant. He grew up in Richmond, Virginia and was a star at Richmond’s Collegiate High School football, baseball, and basketball teams. After being drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 2010 MLB Draft, Wilson butted heads with his head football coach at North Carolina State who gave him an ultimatum of only playing football or to leave the team.

    Wilson wanted to play baseball so he went to the University of Wisconsin to finish his senior year. Russell was assumed to be too short to be a quarterback In the NFL and was the 75th overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft. Now he has proved everybody wrong and has been to the Super Bowl twice.
