Alec Baldwin is an American actor, writer, and comedian. Active since 1980, his most prominent works include movies such as Beetlejuice (1988) and The Departed (2006), but he gets most recognition for his character Jack Donaghy in 30 Rock (2006-2013). He’s participated in dozens of productions, among feature movies, TV shows and Broadway plays during his more than three decades long career. Baldwin got nominated for his supporting role in The Cooler (2003) as well as to other 87 awards, having won a total of 41. Currently he’s the host of NBC’s game show Match Game.
Alec was raised as and remains a Roman Catholic, being known for donating money to his church in Long Island. Unfortunately, Catholics haven’t always appreciated the actor’s words and actions. Known for his short temper, he’s told a photographer “I know you got raped by a priest or something” and in another occasion, for being thrown out of a flight, he called the company employees “retired Catholic school gym teachers from the 1950’s”. Regardless, his faith still seems to be very important to him, who thanks God for his career’s success.
Boxing is an important hobby for Baldwin and videos of him fighting can be easily found on Youtube here.
The actor is a liberal and openly anti-Republican, having called Republicans “lying thieves”. He’s pro gay rights, stricter gun control and animal rights. Concerning the current election cycle, he’s said “Hillary Clinton will dribble Trump down the sidewalk like a basketball. She’s going to whip him beyond belief.”
He had a marriage with actress Kim Basinger from 1993 to 2002 with whom he had a kid. In June 2012 he married yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas, after dating for roughly one year. With Thomas he had his second and third kids.
Baldwin had his own stalker, Genevieve Sabourin, a French-Canadian actress that started sending him unwanted emails and texts after 10 years of having met him. She was arrested on April 8, 2012 and eventually found guilty for stalking and harassment.
