Denzel Washington

Denzel Washington Jr. is an American actor.  He was born in Vermin, New York. He took a journalism course at Fordham University before discovering his interest in acting. Denzel made his film debut in the comedy A Carbon Copy (1981). He later appeared on the TV drama ST. Elsewhere (1981). Denzel has appeared in Hollywood box office hits like the Book of Eli, Training Day, Flight, and American gangster. The actor is famously known for his role in Training Day and Glory. He won Oscars for those roles.

Denzel is a devoted Penteceostal Christian and attends the West Angeles Church of God in Los Angeles. Denzel’s mother is a gospel singer and his father a Pentecostal preacher. He grew up in a Christian household and has proudly carried that faith with him ever since. However, there was one point the actor admitted to abandoning his religion when he was 14 years, but that was because of his parents divorcing.

Denzel believes he is living in a prophecy that a woman made in his father’s church. She prophesied that he would be talking to millions. The actor has carried that piece of paper for years.
