Jacob Sartorius is an American singer and an online influencer best known for being discovered on Musical.ly. He first began uploading videos on Vine in 2011, promoting them using social media. When Jacob began performing lip-syncing videos on Musical.ly more fans began to take notice of him. In May 2016 he released an original song titled “Sweatshirt” that made it to the top 100 on Billboard. Jacob has released more tracks and is growing his fan base, making him one of the biggest online celebrities currently.

Born on October 2, 2002, in Oklahoma, America, his legal first name is Rolf. He uses Jacob, his middle name, as his first name in his public career. Jacob’s zodiac sign is Libra.

He is a Christian. Jacob confirmed this in a video to his fans in 2014:

“If you didn’t know, I am a Christian but that doesn’t mean that I am against any other religion. I’m just proud that I’m Christian,” he said. “I go to church every Sunday. I’m an acolyte at my church.”

When Jacob was still less than a year old his birth parents chose to give him up for adoption. The infant Jacob was adopted by a couple in Reston, Virginia, and grew up as their son.

“At the time, my birth parents weren’t able to take care of me, so they made a plan for me to be adopted,” Jacob explained in one of his videos. “Luckily for me, I was blessed to be able to be adopted by two of the most loving parents in the world—my mom and my dad.” (2)

He has an older sister named Caroline. She is also an online influencer with a large following on Instagram.

Jacob is currently in a relationship with Stranger Things star Millie Bobbie Brown. The couple announced that they were together at the beginning of 2018. (3)
