Jude Law his religion politics beliefs

    Jude Law Religion

Law describes himself as polythiestic, which means having belief in many different gods or forms of religion.

“I have faith in all sorts of things. I wasn’t brought up in a particularly religious house but I reached out to all sorts of literature when I was a kid and continue to, whether it’s Buddhist, Catholic or Islamic. I would say I was more polytheist than monotheist,” Law described himself as. (1)

However, in the same interview the actor also said that he wasn’t really a believer in religion.

“I’ve never been a great believer. I’m a great believer in parameters, I’m not a great believer in rules and I would say that I am a believer in the natural order as opposed to imagined order. But it is an evolving thing for me, not something that has a lid on it.” (1)

Based on those statements we’re marking Jude down as agnostic; a person that doesn’t claim to believe or not believe that there is a God.

One more quote from Jude about his complicated association with religion: “I suppose in a way my relationship with the Bible reflects my relationship with Catholicism. There are moments of incredible clarity and inspiration and other moments of incredible frustration and fury.” (1)

    Jude Law Political Views

Law is active in political issues but wary to lean hard towards a certain side. No more telling evidence for his handling of politically sensitive hot topics is this bit of video which shows how Jude can dodge hot potato questions:

Shortly after the U.K. vote on Brexit, Law was asked how he felt about the decision to leave the European Union. “I’m not a great patriot, but I’m certainly someone who feels English out there on the international market. And it just left me feeling confused, I suppose. Separated somehow,” Law explained (2)

Law has been more vocal with international political causes. In 2007 and 2008 he traveled with UNICEF to Afghanistan to film a documentary about the country trying to restore peace to its’ citizens.

In 2011 he also marched in public demonstrations against Belarusian dictation Alexander Lukashenko. (3)

Jude Law is very political and involved. He first became involved with political causes during England’s Poll Tax riots due to noticing the effect it could have on him and most people around him. He believes in freedom of speech and has supported the uprising in Belarus against their dictator.

    Jude Law – His Relationships

He has been married once, to actress Sadie Frost from 1997 to 2003. They have three children together, Rafferty, Iris and Rudy.

Law came close to marrying another actress, this one Sienna Miller. The two had two on-again, off-again relationships in the late ’00s and early ’10s. During the first relationship Law had to issue a public apology that he cheated on Sienna with his children’s nanny. (4)

In 2009 Law became a father again with the American model Samantha Burke. Their daughter was named Sophia.

In 2015, after breaking up with another of his paramours, Law’s fifth child, Ada, was born.

As of 2018 Jude is romantically involved with Phillipa Coan, a psychologist.

    Jude Law – Quotes

“When I’m done and dusted with this acting business, when I croak and people look back, I desperately hope that I’m not just known as the guy who was hounded by the press.”
