Natalie Dormer is an English actress. She was born and raised in Reading, Berkshire and attended a private school in her youth. Later she attended school in London, where she gained the role as Victoria in Casanova. Dormer’s star status rose considerably higher when she won the role Margaery Tyrell in HBO’s Game of Thrones. She has also starred in Captain America: The First Avenger, Picnic at Hanging Rock and Penny Dreadful: City of Angels.
Born on February 11, 1982, Natalie is an Aquarius.
Natalie has gone on to say that she is an Atheist. She hasn’t been asked much about this but when interviewed about paranormal activity she made made it clear that she doesn’t believe in those kinds of things and isn’t religious.
Natalie isn’t currently happy with the politics in the UK and wishes she could be inspired more by the leaders. She is a big supporter of women’s equality stating that, “Equality is about men and women being equal not girl power”. She thinks we should focus more on action than definitions and how we define tings like feminism. She believes that everyone should have equal pay, and admits that we need to fix the glass ceiling with women in the workplace.
Natalie has stated she loves to scuba dive, and danced in her youth before attending drama school. Before her decision to move on to acting, she hoped to study history at Cambridge.
Natalie was engaged to Anthony Byrne in 2011, whom she had met while filming The Tudors in 2007. The two have decided not to marry due to their lives being heavy in filming and acting. Natalie has also mentioned that, prior to engagement, it was difficult for her to understand Anthony with his heavy Irish accent. Since then she has come to understand Irish slang more easily and considers Ireland a second home to her.
Many people believed Natalie could be related to 16th century lady-in-waiting Jane Dormer. Although Natalie’s skeptical response was that the relation was by surname only and no other sort of kinship. Casanova resulted in her being out of work for nine months, forcing her to work jobs in data entry and as a waitress. Natalie Dormer’s asymmetrical smirk is actually just her nor smile and is genetic.
